Since 2016, the Demystification Committee studies the intensities of late capitalism, engaging with its networks, interfaces and excesses. Their collaborative practice leads to screenings and exhibitions, focus groups and performances. Chaired from London and Berlin, the Demystification Committee recently exhibited as part of the Porto Design Biennale (PT), the 4th Istanbul Design Biennale (TR), transmediale face value (DE) and at Fotomuseum Winterthur (CH). In 2019, their film work was screened as part of Hyperdub’s monthly party Ø at Corsica Studios (UK), at AntiUniversity Now (UK) and at Trust Berlin (DE). Recent performances were held at the Berghain (DE), Design Museum (UK), Spektrum (DE) and Onassis Cultural Centre (GR). In 2019, the German label Mille Plateaux released Flash Demons, a collection of the artists’ sound performances exploring pressure and accidents on the global financial network. In 2017, the Demystification Committee was the recipient of the Vilém Flusser Residency Program for Artistic Research in association with transmediale.
