Maddalena Fragnito
Biography
Maddalena Fragnito, doctoral student at the Centre for Postdigital Cultures (UK), is a cultural activist exploring the intersections between art, transfeminisms, critical theory, technologies and politics – focusing on the practices of commoning social reproduction and reappropriation of time, pleasure, economies and spaces. She co-founded several collective spaces (i.e. MACAO [2012], an autonomous cultural centre in Milan; SopraSotto [2013], a self-managed kindergarten by parents; and KIN [coming in 2020], an interdisciplinary lab in the San Siro neighbourhood in Milan) and co-edited two books around the topic of commoning care within activist communities (Rebelling with Care [2019]; How to Open a Pirate Nest in the Neighbourhood [2018]).
