
Donatella Della Ratta
Donatella Della Ratta is a media ethnographer, performer and curator specialized in networked technologies with a focus on the Arab world. She holds a PhD from the University of Copenhagen and was an Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard. From 2007 to 2013, she managed Creative Commons’ Arabic speaking community. In 2012, she co-founded the English-Arabic portal SyriaUntold.com. She has curated art programs such as Syria Off Frame (2015) and Syrian New Waves (2017), authored Shooting a Revolution: Visual Media and Warfare in Syria (2018), and co-edited The Aesthetics and Politics of the Online Self (2021). She is an Associate Professor of Communications and Media Studies at John Cabot University.
