Solveig Qu Suess

Solveig Qu Suess works in the fields of documentary film, art and research. Her films and writings establish connections across time and distance to look into the optics of an increasingly unpredictable world. Exploring the questions of power and perception, the negotiation of bodies and environments, and the image practices which escape the boundaries of their frame, Qu Suess has been using filmmaking as a means to research and connect registers of the intimate and geopolitical. She has been part of residencies, screenings and exhibitions internationally, including at the Li Xianting Film Fund Beijing, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Fondazione Prada Venice, Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Kunsthall Trondheim, Guangzhou Image Triennial and the Gothenburg Biennial, with her writings published in E-Flux Architecture, The Funambulist, by Columbia Books on Architecture and the City and elsewhere. She is currently a researcher at the Critical Media Lab and PhD candidate at the University of Basel.
