The installation enables us to explore “Earth” through an interface combining a concave screen with a vector which we operate ourselves: by moving a positioning device in the horizontal and vertical planes, similar to a gyrocompass, we seem to travel across the globe. Suddenly we must regain our bearings as we experience the Earth as a sphere. Through an accelerated level of interaction and a sensory experience, the spectator is “thrown into the void of outer space”.
